Information About Dial a Ride:
Newtown Dial a Ride was established in 1991 with the principal aim of providing sympathetic and affordable door to door community based transport for those who reside in Newtown and the surrounding area.
Our fleet of buses are specially adapted for the comfort of our members. The rear lift facility allows those in wheelchairs to remain in their chairs while being transported, passenger assistants are on hand to make sure you have a comfortable journey.
All Dial a Ride drivers are fully MIDAs trained (can provide training), and all staff are police checked and first aid trained.
At Dial a Ride, our main priority is to ensure the safety and well being of our members when using the service.
Dial a Ride only receives just under 5% of its annual running costs from the government so unfortunately we do have to charge a small amount for using the service. We do try to keep this to a minimum by organising fundraising events such as the Santa Run & the Prestigious Motor Show.
